There is one question that haunts everyone who works with brands: why do two almost identical bottles of vodka sell at four times the price difference?
The answer has nothing to do with the liquid inside. And that is exactly what we will talk about on 20 August.
I have been invited as a lecturer at SoftUni Creative for a free online seminar titled "The Hidden Code of Branding: From Graphic Design to the Consumer's Subconscious".
01The Grey Goose Effect
The main focus of the lecture is one of the most telling cases in branding history — the entrepreneurial and visual phenomenon in which a brand literally builds a "super-premium" category from scratch through strategic visual language.
It does not take over an existing market. It creates a new one in which there are no competitors, because no one knew such a segment existed before.
I will deconstruct exactly how this happens — and why the mechanism is applicable far beyond the alcohol industry.
02The hidden code of Apple, Mercedes-Benz, Rolex and Gucci
The second part examines the visual language of the global giants and three questions behind every decision in it:
What do people in the highest segment buy — the product itself or the identity and social status it brings them?
How does design communicate uncompromisingly through the "silence" of negative space?
How do typography, the absence of unnecessary colours and specific textures subconsciously radiate luxury and engineering superiority?
Who the seminar is for
It is suitable for graphic, brand and UI/UX designers, marketers and entrepreneurs — but also for anyone who wants to understand how visual communication guides consumer choices at the deepest level.
If you run a business and have ever wondered why a competitor with a weaker product charges a higher price, the answer will likely sound in those ninety minutes.
When and where
20 August 2026 (Thursday), from 19:00 EEST. Online, completely free, with live streaming through the SoftUni Creative platform.
